INTRODUCTION :
RTE Act 2009 legalizes universalization of Elementary Education with a focus on Quality Education. The role of educational functionaries in the District is equally important in ensuring quality education. The educational functionaries of the District, includes SSA Functionaries, Education Functionaries at the District, Teacher Education Institutes, School Heads, School Teachers etc. School Teachers plays a key role in enhancing the progress in child’s learning and ensure quality education. Social Science or Social Studies is a very important subject to be learn at the elementary level. In view of changing paradigm in the field of education today, teachers teaching in Social Science therefore should be exposed to new approach in learning and pedagogy. It is therefore the duty of our Institute to introduce the teachers to this, so as they become the great resource in their own school and towards their own learners. Hence will bring quality in learning Social Science and be able to apply in their day to day life.
